Strength: Towels & Tensors for Grip & Wrist Strength
Pat Aitken for PE Update.com

We don't need special equipment to perform strength exercises for the wrists, hands and fingers. Effective  exercises can be performed with items from your locker room.

Towel Twist for Wrist Strength
To increase wrist strength have your students hold a towel in their hands and twist it forward (i.e. away from them) and backward (i.e. toward them).  They should repeat the exercise 10-15 times, twice a day.

Elastic Bandage Squeeze

Elastic Bandage Squeeze for Grip Strength
Your students can improve their grip strength by holding an elastic (i.e. tensor) bandage in their injured hand and squeezing the bandage tightly, then relaxing  This exercise should be done 10-15 times, twice a day.
