Games: Snowman Toss
A Snowman Toss is a great activity for physical education classes, winter festivals or recess. It's basically a snazzed-up, winterized version of ring toss.
How to Organize
Have your students make a snowman on school grounds. Then get a hat out of the lost-and-found. Or, for longer distance snowman tossing, use a frisbee or Aerobie flying ring.
Students attempt to toss the hat onto the snowman's head.
For a contest - which is great fun during recess - specify that any toss that lands and stays on the snowman is worth a point. The most points scored during the recess period wins the contest.
