Gymnastics: Walking Handstand

Dick Moss, Editor

The Walking Handstand is a great way to practice the handstand. It places your students in an inverted position while being spotted by a partner, and forces them to adjust their balance while upside down. And it's fun!

How to Do It
Divide your class into partners. Half the students place their hands on their partner's feet and kick up into a handstand. The partners grab their legs as they come up.

In this position, the students attempt to walk.
