Here's an idea you may find useful in your school.

I use a fannypack-style First Aid kit which I wear all day. It goes everywhere and comes in handy for small items like Band-Aids. It's not a substitute for a fully-stocked kit but it beats running back to the main kit or carrying it with me.

You could make up a kit with any fannypack or purchase a fully-stocked one from St. John Ambulance.

It works for me.
