1. Editor's Note

Hey American readers - Happy Thanksgiving! Because I'm a Canadian, our Thanksgiving was last month, so this is a working day for me. But to console myself, I'll keep the office television tuned into the afternoon football game. Now that's something to be thankful for!

What's been added to PE Update.com over the past two weeks? Lots of good stuff, including a fundraiser involving cake, a soccer lead-up game, a motivating poster for your bulletin board, a way to practice crowded steeplechase hurdling, and a video describing what football defensive backs should do when beaten by a fast receiver.

The above articles are for PE Update members-only. But how about free content? There's a link to a free eBook describing games from Australian indigenous cultures; our bi-weekly blog, discussing how it's the level of competition, not the level of skill that makes sport exciting to watch; and finally, our free article from the PE Update archives about a way to encourage participation versus winning in your intramural program.

This newsletter is free, but most of the content on PE Update.com is for members-only, including instructional videos, the discussion group, over 2000 articles that you can read, print and email... and much more.

If you're not already a member of the PE Update.com website, then join up today!! You can get more information here: PE Update Membership Information

I hope you enjoy this issue!
