Fun Stuff for PE Newsletter #57
September 18, 2008
We're changing the name of this newsletter! We're now called "FUN STUFF FOR PE!" I think it better reflects the content we provide. Also, our frequency will now be bi-weekly. We went bi-weekly over the summer and the feedback was excellent. The fact is, PE teachers get so busy that it's hard to keep up with new information (that's one of the reasons PE Update.com is useful). So, rather than overwhelm you, we'll try publishing both the newsletter and the blog only once every two weeks, instead of weekly. Let us know what you think. This newsletter is free, but most of the content on PE Update.com is for members-only, including instructional videos, the discussion group, over 2000 articles that you can read, print and email... and much more. If you're not already a member of the PE Update.com website, then join up today!! You can get more information here - Hey, you can try us out for only $7.95 a month! 1. Editor's Note
Listening to an audio book is a great way to pass the time on your drive to work. Audio Books for Free is a website that provides audio books you can download to your computer at no cost - although there is a fee if you want a recording with better sound quality.
Michael Jordan in His Own Words

The best perspective for videotaping opposing pitchers' pick-off tendencies against base-runners.
A relay for shot putters or PE class in which teams collectively attempt to throw a shot or medicine ball farther than their competitors.
A fundraiser with a redneck theme, in which participants play games like the hubcap toss and toilet seat horseshoes.
A game in which players must catch a dropped broomstick before it hits the ground. Great for PE classes. Includes a video.
