Physical Education Tips of the Week #49
June 12, 2008
1. Editor's Note

This week's additions to the website include articles about how parents may be contributing to the the childhood obesity epidemic by refusing to recognize the problem in their own children; a way to improve results announcements for losing teams; and research into the effect of tennis scoreboards on the outcome of games.
How about free stuff? Aside from the blog article I've already mentioned, this newsletter also provides a link to a music video by a former physical education student - Ronnie Hawkins. The Pick of the Week is a description on a fun warm-weather game, the Leaking Cup Relay.
This newsletter is free, but most of the content on the website is for members-only, including instructional videos, the discussion group, almost 2000 articles that you can read, print and email... and much more.

After graduating from high school, Hawkins studied physical education at the University of Arkansas where he formed his first band, The Hawks. Here's Ronnie in action.
