1. Editor's Note

Well - it's finally here. Summer vacation!! For those of you who work in the northern hemisphere, it's time to recharge the batteries and spend some time with family, friends and personal interests.

Because many of you turn off your school email during the summer, and many more don't want to think about school for a while, I'll be reducing the frequency of this newsletter and our blog to every two or three weeks instead of weekly. However, we will continue publishing articles, and in September, I'll send a newsletter that recaps all the articles we've published over the summer.

Have a great vacation - you deserve it!!

In the meantime, here are the articles we added to PE Update.com this week: There's a discussion on the differerent properties of badminton racquets you should think about when making a purchase; how pattern recognition can be used and trained in team sports; and finally, a way to set up your track practice so a single coach can observe sprinters, hurdles and distance runners all at the same time.

The above articles are for PE Update members only. But how about free stuff? This newsletter includes links to a video that puts inspirational sports quotes to music; our weekly blog that discusses the lesson provided to aspiring athletes by last week's U.S. Open golf tournament; and a free article and video tip on how to improve your short game in golf.

This newsletter is free, but most of the content on the website is for members-only, including instructional videos, the discussion group, almost 2000 articles that you can read, print and email... and much more.

If you're not already a member of the PE Update website, then join up today!! You can get more information here: PE Update Membership Information

I hope you enjoy this issue of PE Tips of the Week!
