Also, some new members were having trouble with entering the forum. That also has been corrected. This newsletter covers the month of August 2009. If you want to know what was added to the site in July, check out the Fun Stuff Newsletter #78, July 30th at: //www.physicaleducationupdate.com/public/517.cfm Our free content in this edition includes: a link to a video showing a person who inspires an entire concert crowd to get up and dance; our blog, in which I discuss the sorry state of announcing in American track and field TV coverage; and our article from the archives, which describes an icebreaker for classes in which students are meeting for the first time. And for PE Update.com members, we provide a list of the latest articles added to the website during August. The Fun Stuff newsletter is free and there's also lots of free content on PE Update.com, including over 30 sample articles, an extensive links page and the PE Update Blog. However, most of the material on PE Update.com is for members-only, including instructional videos, a discussion forum, and over 2100 articles that you can search, read, print and email! If you're not already a member of the PE Update.com website, then join up today!! To get more information, watch our video tour at: PE Update Video Tour I hope you enjoy this issue! 2. From the Web

MAN INSPIRES OTHERS TO DANCE

Here's a motivational video as you embark on another year of teaching. It's one of my favourite clips of the summer - a demonstration of the power of a single person to inspire others to get up and participate in physical activity (in this case, dancing at a concert). Initially, I think people were laughing this fellow…but then they realized how much fun he was having and decided to join in. I hope I can inspire as many people this year! //www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA8z7f7a2Pk

Track Broadcasting Needs Better Announcers
After watching the World Track and Field Championships, your editor believes that the sport will never be popular in the U.S. as long as the current team of announcers continue providing the television coverage.
