1. Editor's Note

Finally - after six months of development, the PE Update website is finally ready to launch!! Our official launch date is next Tuesday February 19th. As of next Tuesday, we'll be able to process subscriptions. We'll be offering two options: $59.95 per year, or $7.95 per month. The latter will be ideal for people who want to try us out before committing to a full year's subscription.

We've made it easier to do a site-wide search on the website. You now need only search once to find every article on the site - including pdf and web-based articles and videos. See the search page for an explanation. Click Here

Finally - the moment you've all been waiting for - the winner of the Best Forum Poster Contest. It's Carl from the USA! Carl has posted some excellent ideas, including a super game for co-ed groups, a 25-point scale for grading, and a fun day of activity for grade six girls. To see his excellent posts, check out the discussion forum.

Carl - I've already sent you an email with instructions on how to download the eBook. If you haven't received it, check your spam box, or email me at [email protected].
Thanks for getting the forum up and running!

I'll announce another prize winner in two weeks. (The forum, by the way, is restricted to PE Update members).

Keep those forum posts coming, everybody!!

3. From the Discussion Forum

Here's a great idea from the discussion forum. It's from Brian in New York. The topic involved new fundraising ideas.

"We run the concessions stand for all of our city school track meets (elementary and high school). I hire university students to run them, or when I can, get parents of my school team to work in them. Twenty-five percent of our profits go to the meet organizers. We now have a good name with the local athletic directors and are often asked to run concessions for swim meets and other sports events. The track meets alone bring in over $5000 a year for us.!"

Are you a PE Update subscriber with ideas to share? Well post them to the discussion group at: Forum (For PE Update members only)
