INCREDIBLE BACKYARD BASKETBALL SHOTS
Do remember the old Jordan versus Larry Bird MacDonalds commercials? ("Off the expressway, over the river, off the billboard, nothing but net.") Well they have nothing on the kids in this video - and there's no trick photography involved. These kids make some incredible shots off roofs, walls and almost everywhere, with the ball invariably ending up in their backyard hoop.

There's a great game for co-ed groups on the discussion forum. The topic was "...Games, activities or adapted sports that work well with co-ed classes and prevent larger guys from dominating."
It's a Team Handball variation from "cebenson," who says,
" It limits the area in which the students can move so they have to pass to everyone at some point."
PE Update members can see the game at: Team Handball Game
Are you a PE Update subscriber with ideas to share? You can win a free eBook in our bi-weekly "Best Post" contest. Post your ideas, questions, comments to the discussion group at: Discussion Forum

Each week, I'll highlight an article that I think is really useful. The article will be available to non-members of the website for a week, and to members forever!
This week's pick is:
Cross-Country Skiing: Diagonal Stride - Cue for a Better Kick
While there is still snow in Canada and the northern states, I thought I'd provide a cross-country skiing article. This one gives a good coaching cue for producing a better diagonal stride kick. It also provides a way to recognize a good kick when it is being performed.
