Equipment: Garbage Bag Balloon Balls

Dick Moss, Editor, PE Update.com

When working with very young and/or special needs students, regular balls may move too fast, be too difficult to hit or catch, or hurt when they hit unsuspecting victims on the noggin.

You can take the fear out of ball-games by using garbage-bag balloon balls. Simply inflate some balloons, place them in a plastic garbage bag and tie the end of the bag.

You'll then have a large ball that is softer, easier to catch or volley, and more slow-moving than a regular ball.
