Archery: Aim Through the Second Knuckle

Pat Aitken for PE Update.com

It's recommended that beginning archers use a square stance, such that a line drawn between both sets of toes points directly at the target (if they wish, they can alter this stance later, as they become more proficient).

Instruct your beginners to aim by sighting the bull's-eye through the second knuckle of their bow hand.

If they are standing square to the target and can't sight the bull's-eye through their second knuckle, have them shuffle their feet, keeping their arms in the same alignment until the bull's-eye becomes visible.
