Here's a counter your wrestler can use if his opponent has shot for the single leg and is still in front, grasping the lower part of the leg.

In this counter, your wrestler turns his body and moves the held leg until it's over the opponent's head.

the Top Wrestler Sits Back

He then sits, pushing the opponent's head down and back with his leg. Placing his arms around the opponent's waist, he sits back on his outside hip and rolls the opponent onto his back.
