Games: Ask Parents and Grandparents for their Childhood Games

Dick Moss, Editor, PE Update.com

If you want to increase your stockpile of games for recess and PE classes, why not tap into the collective wisdom of your students' parents and grandparents.

Make it a homework assignment for your students to ask their parents or other relatives for a description of the rules for their favourite childhood games.

Not only will you obtain some fun games to play, but your students may experience a special sense of connection when they play the same games their parents played when they were young.
