Football: How Many Footballs Do They Use in an NFL Game?

How many footballs did you purchase for your PE class this year? How many balls of any type did you purchase? If you have a typically impoverished physical education program, you probably bought way fewer balls than the officials use in a single, typical NFL football game.

And how many balls is that?

According to NFL rules, each game must use 36 approved footballs.
