Games/Basketball: Backwards Basketball

Dick Moss, Editor, PE Update.com

Backwards Basketball is a fun gymnasium game. It takes no special setup except for a temporary modification of your basketball nets.

Setup
Play with two teams on a basketball court. Tie the bottom of the basketball nets so a ball can't fall through. Place a kickball/playground ball in each net.

How to Play
The game is played like basketball except that a point is scored by hitting the ball out of the net with the basketball. Once a basket is scored, the ball is put back into the net.

The ball can be advanced by passing or dribbling, with a three second dribbling limit before a pass must be made.
