Health Class Tips: Muscle Charades

Pat Aitken

Here's a fun way to drill your students' knowledge of muscle groups and their functions.

How to Play
Divide your class into groups and secretly assign each group one or more muscles.

For example, you might assign:

Group 1: Quadriceps

Group 2: Biceps

Group 3: Pectorals

Group 4: Gluteus maximus

Group 5: Obliques etc.

Each group pantomimes the function of their muscle group to the rest of the class (e.g. cracking a nut on the biceps). The class must guess which muscle is being indicated.
