Tennis: Alley Rally Game

Dick Moss, Editor

Alley Rally is a modified tennis game that improves your players' ability to place the ball down the line, and in doubles, to smack it down the alley.

How to Play
Divide your students into pairs and assign them to either the left or right side of a tennis court.

Player A drops the ball and hits it to player B. They rally, with each shot that lands in the alley counting for one point, but with the rally continuing even if the ball lands outside the alley.

Players count their score out loud. After about 5 minutes, they switch sides, which gives them the opportunity to practice both their forehand and backhand.
